Walls that arrive exactly
as you pictured them.

Wallpaper, millwork, lime wash, micro cement. One family-owned studio, twenty years in the trades, working across Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Scottsdale.

Two ways in. Same crew either way.

The hard part was never the vision. It was trusting someone else to build it.

Whether you drew the room or simply know how you want it to feel, the same thing decides how it turns out: whether the person on the ladder understood what you were after.

Seams that telegraph. Plaster that reads patchy. Millwork that's a sixteenth off and somehow you can feel it. Crews who show up dusty, leave dustier, and answer texts on Tuesday.

An install you don't trust becomes a phone call you have to make, a Friday you have to give back, a room that never quite settles into finished. The work that should be the best part of the project quietly takes a piece of it instead.

A brother and sister, twenty years in the trades.

Wallwright Studio is Josh Sheppard and Amber Gastelum, a family-owned installation studio working with the homeowners, designers, and builders shaping the high-design homes of Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Scottsdale.

We came up on jobsites. Twenty years will teach you what separates a good install from a great one, and that the details nobody photographs, the prep, the primer, the follow-through, are the ones people notice every time they walk past that wall.

We built the studio we would want to hire ourselves.

Four installations. One crew.

Most installs require coordinating three or four trades. We do all four ourselves, which means a single point of accountability, a single schedule, and a finish that reads as one continuous piece of work.

03

Lime wash

A centuries-old mineral finish, matte and layered with depth. It turns a wall into something that feels as intentional as the room around it.

From $15 / sq ft
04

Micro cement

Seamless cementitious finish for walls, floors, vanities, showers. Calibrated for daily use and decade-long beauty.

Up to $35 / sq ft

Three steps. No surprises.

The last thing anyone needs is a sub who makes the process harder than the project. You will know what is happening, what it costs, and when it will be done, before a single tool comes out.

01
Schedule a Call

Reach out by text or phone. We'll get the basics (project, scope, timeline) without a fifty-question intake form.

02
Walk the Project

A thoughtful conversation about the vision, the spec, the substrate, the schedule. Site visit and samples when the project warrants it.

03
Install & Hand Off

Job walk on the front end if needed. Then we schedule, install, and leave the space ready for the next trade, or for the reveal.

"Wallwright Studio cares about the details, because in our work, the details are the work."

Studio Principle · No. 01

What changes when the install isn't the problem.

Something shifts when the install stops being the risky part. You stop noticing the wall and start living with it. The room does what you pictured it doing in the first place.

  • One team, one schedule, one point of accountability, start to finish.
  • No coordinating multiple subs across multiple disciplines.
  • Prep done properly, so the finish still looks right in five years.
  • Fewer delays, fewer punch items, fewer Friday phone calls.
  • A room you walk past and feel something, instead of flinching.

Have a project? Let's walk it.

A short call to understand the scope, the timeline, and whether we're the right fit. No intake forms, no pressure, just a conversation between professionals.
